It may surprise you to learn that I've never been a big fan of playing the lottery. Friends ask me why I don't bother and I always trot out the same, predictable line:
"Why would I? I've only got a 1 in 13,983,816 chance of winning!"
I read an article on The Times website recently that put this into perspective brilliantly:
"Casinos typically pay out more than 97 per cent of money staked. With Premium Bonds you actually get to keep your stake, plus an average of 3 ½ per cent, in prize money per year.
The lottery payout? Fifty per cent.
To represent the vanishingly small chance of a lottery jackpot in the game of roulette, you would have to build a wheel with close to 14 million compartments; to scale, the wheel would be bigger than London - too large, in fact, to fit inside the M25.
If you were picking a card, the pack would be three miles high."
And so on....
That's right my friend: "it COULD be you"!
When you think about the palaver of trudging off to the newsagents in all weathers to get your ticket just because this week “could be the week” - it's simply not worth it for me.
But suppose you knew of a way to play the lottery - the official UK "Lotto" - that increased your chances of winning the jackpot by an incredible 702%... AND you'd never have to get up from your armchair to go and buy a ticket...
OK... now I'm interested!
This is the proposition put to me about 6 months ago by a company called Virtual World Direct (VWD) - they're a really friendly (and well established) bunch who operates online lottery syndicates.

The way they shorten the odds for lotto players is a bit geeky for me, but it’s brilliant:
You join online and you're allocated a place in a 49-player UK syndicate. Then VWD pick you 5 numbers between 1 and 49 which they enter automatically in every Wednesday and Saturday UK Lotto draw – until you tell them otherwise.
Now you're probably baffled by the same thing that baffled me; that being... I thought you played the Lotto with SIX numbers?!
88 chances of winning the lottery every week
Okay, here's how it works… your 5 numbers – which are picked for you according to a pre-determined sequence, are then combined with a variable 6th number in a strict mathematical pattern.
(Don't worry, you don't have to understand this; VWD take care of everything for you - all you have
to do is sign up and pay your subscription).
What it means for you is that you'll ALWAYS match at least ONE number - every time you play the
Lotto... which is EVERY Wednesday AND Saturday.
I guess it figures: If you're in a syndicate with 48 others, and each available number is picked at least once across the 49 entries - you're bound to get one winning number every draw!
And that means your chances of scooping the top prize increase from 1 in 14 million to only 1 in 1.9 million - a 702% greater chance of scooping the jackpot.
Interesting?
Not only that, your chances of winning ANY prize jump to only 1 in 13... In fact, you qualify for a prize even when you match just 2 Main numbers!
VWD claim that you get 44 chances of winning a prize in every draw... and because your syndicate is entered on Wednesday AND Saturday, you actually get 88 chances of a prize every single week.
Sounds like it ACTUALLY COULD be you!

If you thought a 702% better chance of winning the UK lottery jackpot was good... With the "Euro Millions" draw, where the prize pot is even bigger, your chances of winning the big prize are increased by a whopping 3,600% when you play in a VWD online syndicate...
We've probably all been part of lottery syndicates at work at one time or another because of the sound logic: The more people that join up; the more chance you have of winning.
There was one going round our place a few years back and of course, I had a punt.
How did we do? I think I split £10 with 8 other people on about three different occasions over about a year and a half. A whopping £1.25.
Book my ticket to Barbados- cancel the milk!
Then it just fizzled out - which is kind of what happens with most syndicates once the novelty wears off... or where the guy "running" it forgets to put the numbers on... or when some of the syndicate members keep forgetting to pay their stake money.
It's all a bit amateur really. But this VWD thing is more organized; it's a professionally run outfit - everything is fully automated online.
No longer a slave to Dale Winton
It's really easy; even if you've never played the lottery before - you just pay your lottery ticket money online instead of at the newsagent or post office and the rest is automatic: from thenceforth, until you tell them otherwise, you play in both UK lottery draws, every week.
That means no more miserable queues down at the corner shop, no more last-minute panics - and no more dreading the result when you've missed a week!
I don’t know about you but I like the idea that you can't ever lose your ticket... and I LOVE the idea that you don't have to feel inclined to stay in on a Saturday night and watch that awful twee Dale Winton / Eamonn Holmes rubbish!
After each draw, VWD simply email the results to you, and let you know if you've won. Winnings are then forwarded to you however you specify.
So you can go out, relax and enjoy your Saturday or Wednesday evening... or stay in and watch something far more interesting than Dale or Eamonn.
And you'll be safe in the knowledge that you have a 902% better chance of winning the jackpot than before!
If you've never played the lottery before because you "only have a 1 in 13,983,816 chance of winning", you should definitely click through below to the VWD site and at least take a look...
If you play the lottery each week, or play in a work-organized syndicate, this is a no brainer... after all: who wouldn't want to give themselves more chance of winning?
28 Wins in 6 months
I’ve been doing this for the last 6 months. So far my syndicate has had 8 wins with the UK “Lotto” and 20 wins with the “Euro Millions”.
That’s an average of just over 1 win every week!

The chance sure high but gambling is just not my thing. Even if the chance are quite high, instead of gambling I prefer to use that money into something way MORE profitable and that's probably, Internet Marketing.
Imagine the possibility of having to sit there and watch your Google Adsense stats everyday and see 200 bucks going in daily. Hell, I love that kind of life...
Anyway, thanks for dropping by my blog, Kevin. I'm glad someone's commenting at my new blog. :)
