I am publishing here the results of my experiences with One Step 4 Income (OSI), for the benefit of existing members and to encourage new members. Some of you may find some aspects somewhat basic, but I don't want to assume you have knowledge (to assume makes an ASS out of U and ME).
By the way, I'm English, so I write using the English Language as I understand it.
I don't particularly like the use of the word "FREE"... every action or reaction bears some cost, so I try only to use "Free" in the context of not having an outgoing monetary implication on my wallet.
If you want more information on any particular topic, clicking on the blue links will take you to an associated web page
First of all, a couple of items that I find useful in my general marketing activities.
- I don't use Internet Explorer for my PC web-browser... Firefox is much safer. It is also known as a "tab" based browser. This means that "right clicking" on any of the Safelist links in the Accelerator Plan will open that link in a new tab, which saves a lot of time going backwards and forwards.
- Signing up for all those Safelists or Traffic Exchange programmes requires a lot of repetitive work. I use RoboForm to manage all my logins and passwords. I use the same log in name for every programme, but have RoboForm generate a unique password for each site. That way, when I return to a site for marketing, Roboform will fill my log in details at the click of a button. I have used the free version successfully for some time and do not yet see the need to purchase.
The Need to Become Inventive
On the OSI Forum someone has already commented that, as the numbers of active members grows, so we shall all need to become more inventive with our marketing efforts. I don't take that to infer that we shall each need to re-invent the "wheel" that Ray DeGrendel has so skillfully crafted, but, perhaps to use it in slightly different ways.
Traffic Hoopla is one of the more respected traffic builders on the web and they constantly research the most responsive Safelists and Traffic Exchanges. I have added their top 20 Safelists to my OSI schedule for mailing. It is not necessary to become a paying member, unless you want to read their in depth analysis.
If you are not already using Gmail as your list email address, I strongly recommend it. With upwards of 2,000 email messages received every day it takes only three clicks to delete them all. Go to your inbox, click on "All", then click on "Select all 2,003 conversations in Inbox" (or whatever the number) and click on "Delete" and they're gone.
Having said that, here is another little tip... before you delete them all, quickly scan down the page and see if there are any email subjects that catch your eye. If you are tempted to open any such, make a note of the headline so that you can use it in a later campaign of your own.
I was introduced to OSI as a result of an email that I received from my up-line at WebBizInsider.
His headline caught my eye.
For those of you who are not familiar with this Traffic Exchange, I say that it is one of the best programmes presently available on the web... and it is only one of a very few where I have become a paying member.
Was it all worth it?
So, on to my first week results.
I decided to use the email "When is Enough... Enough" (Accelerator Plan - Day 1), but I used a different subject line for each Safelist... for example, "Have You Got Enough", "Is It Enough Yet", "How To Get Enough", or some other headline using some variation of the email content.
I used the same email for each day of the week and I tracked my results for the week using the Multi-Ad Tracker at NPN . Unfortunately I did not make a note of how many emails I had sent during the week through the Accelerator Plan and Traffic Hoopla Safelists, but it must be in the region of 50,000.
Result: 190 Hits, i.e a 0.38% mailing to hits conversion.
I also did a mailing to my list at List Bandit where I have 103 members in my list; same email content and subject line "When Is Enough... Enough?"
Result: 1 Hit, i.e. a 0.97% mailing to hits conversion.
and another mailing to my WebBizInsider list, where I have 275 members; again same email content and subject line "When Is Enough... Enough?
Result: 13 Hits, i.e. a mailing to hits conversion of 4.73%!
Very interesting Kevin, but... was it worth it?
Answer... Yes! My first level is filled and one of those 5 has already followed me in at NPN.
This week...
My eye was caught by a very simple email late last week, one where it is very easy to adapt the headline for every programme. So I'm using that... results will be published next week.
Please feel free to comment.
Meanwhile, here's my hand in your success.
Great Job Kevin!
I got a big laugh last night (this morning) in the OSI forum when reading your post. The little bug eyed smiley face was great.
You are such a wonderful writer. Your explanation is very well thought out and presented.
You are making me think about my own marketing efforts. They are no where near as effective. You are a wonderful addition to our team. We can learn a lot from you.
Thank you so much for the advice on using the safelists. Your experience is much needed and will be appreciated.
I will be adding a comment and link to your article in the LEARNING, GROWING & EARNING section of my website. You can get there through our forum.
I’ll send you a private message when it’s ready.
I hope you are ready for a new member in your Webizinsider downline.
Once I’m a member there, that site will have a link as well.
I’m looking forward to your next post.
Please tell me when it is ready. If you are going to do a series of articles I’d like to showcase all of them.
You are welcome to contact me anytime.
My Best to You
Arth
